The Integrated Zone System From Trane
Shouldn't every room be as comfortable as possible?

Exactly what is zoning? Well, in a nutshell, it is the independent temperature control of various areas of your home. It doesn't matter if it's done with one system, or multiple systems, with dampers or without dampers - the concept is the same. And, here's the beauty of it - with zoning, you can select your own comfort level in each zoned area. Now, isn't that a comforting thought?

With Zoning You Can Feel the Difference

Think about your home. Are there certain areas that are always too cool or too warm? Is humidity a problem during summer evenings? Have you sometimes wished you could just heat or cool the rooms you spend the most time in rather than heating and cooling your entire house? If this sounds familiar, the Trane Integrated Zone System was designed just for you. It puts you in charge of your home's comfort allowing you to create the perfect environment for the way you live.

Flexibility is the Key

Most traditional heating and cooling systems have one centrally located thermostat that controls the temperature of the entire house. With a Trane Integrated Zone System, your home can be divided into as many as eight different zones depending on its size and the way you live. Each independent zone will have its own zone sensor which will monitor and control the temperature in its area. As the day progresses, your family lives in different parts of the house. Now, you'll be able to program each specific zone to be active or inactive depending on your schedule. For instance, you can set the bedrooms to be inactive during the day while the kitchen and living areas are active.

Enhanced Humidity Control is an Added Bonus

There's a very special feature of our Integrated Zone System. It's called Comfort-R ™ and it provides enhanced air flow for greater humidity control during cooling. The Comfort-R cycle allows the fan to run at a slower speed during start up, which provides immediate dehumidification and moisture removal. This managed cycle of cooling reduces temperature and humidity variance for the optimum in home comfort.

Trane's Integrated Zone System is composed of an outdoor air conditioner or heat pump, an indoor furnace or air handler, a system controller, zone comfort sensors and a modulating damper for each zone. For a better idea of how zoning works, take a look at the above illustration. As you can see, each zone has its own comfort sensor, which acts as an individual thermostat. These sensors relay information to the system controller. The system controller activates the home comfort system, and the modulating dampers in the ductwork, sending the right amount of conditioned air to the zones where it is needed. With an Integrated Zone System from Trane, you can program your comfort, zone by zone by zone. Imagine, a home comfort system so smart it will think for you - imagine an Integrated Zone System from Trane.

The Trane System Story

A home comfort system is made up of individual parts. And, even though each component is separate, they're all designed, engineered and integrated to work together as a system. A perfectly balanced system is the best way to get the best comfort and highest efficiency. When you match a Trane air conditioner or heat pump with a Trane variable speed furnace or air handler, you can be sure you've installed a system that is efficient, durable and reliable.

It Takes a Special Dealer to Sell a Zoned System

An Integrated Zone System from Trane represents the highest technological achievement in heating and air conditioning. Because of its sophistication it requires a special dealer - a dealer who has been trained in the application, installation and service of zoning systems for the home. That's the Trane difference. Trane integrated zone dealers have the technical training necessary to evaluate all the factors that are pertinent in designing the most efficient way to zone your home. For example, the size, layout and square footage of your home are important, but so is your individual lifestyle. Are all the kids away at college? Is the kitchen an important gathering place for you? Is there rarely anyone at home during the day? These and other factors will be explored by one of our qualified professionals in order to determine your specific home comfort needs.
